Reporting your child’s absence.
Regular attendance at school will enable your child to develop and enhance their studies; there is an expectation that a child’s attendance, over the course of the year, will be 96 per cent or more. If you do need to report a child’s absence, it should be reported by calling the school office by 9am every morning.
Attendance that falls below 90 per cent is categorised by the government as persistent absence and will be taken very seriously by both the Academy and the Trust. Please ensure that absences are only taken as a necessity and that you inform the school as outlined above.
