Year 6 Pupils Take On The Forensic Investigation Challenge With Police Museum

Year six pupils from Holyhead Primary Academy recently had the unique opportunity to step into the role of police officers during an exciting educational visit to the Police Museum. The day immersed pupils in the fascinating history of law enforcement, offering interactive activities that brought policing history to life.

A highlight of the visit was the forensic investigation challenge, where pupils worked in teams to solve a mock case. Armed with evidence and guided by critical thinking, they collaborated to uncover clues, solve puzzles, and identify the culprit. Their efforts were not only inspirational but also showcased exceptional teamwork and problem-solving skills. Other activities during the day further deepened their understanding of policing, providing a well-rounded experience.

“This visit was an incredible opportunity for our pupils to engage with real-world problem-solving and teamwork in a meaningful way,” said Natalie Shipley, Principal at Holyhead Primary Academy. “We are so proud of how they embraced the challenge, and we are grateful to the Police Museum for organising such an impactful experience.”

The day left a lasting impression on pupils, enriching their appreciation for forensic science and the pivotal role of police in maintaining community safety. Experiences like these broaden young minds, ignite curiosity, and equip learners with the skills and confidence to face future challenges.
